Lifeline Theatre Study

Over its thirty-year history, Lifeline Theatre has become a central component of the cultural fabric of the Rogers Park neighborhood and anchor for the Glenwood Avenue Arts District. HBRA investigated the feasibility of providing a new or expanded facility based on a cultivated understanding of Lifeline's unique identity, artistic process, and characteristics of the performance spaces that are specific to their creative program and the particular experience that they have developed for their audiences. The study concluded with the design for a hybrid building housing a new main stage theatre and renovated studio theatre as well as support, administrative spaces and patron amenities that extend and enhance a beloved neighborhood landmark.
