Neil Sondgeroth, Sr. Associate

Neil began work with HBRA Architects in 2007, was made Associate in 2012, and was elevated to Senior Associate in 2019. At HBRA, he has worked on projects for higher education that include libraries, science, and academic buildings. He has recently served as Project Architect for university master planning and renovation studies, the renovation and expansion of Chicago’s Harris Theater for Music and Dance, renovation of a historic Daniel Burnham office building in Chicago’s downtown, and a new multi-unit residential development in Dalian, China. Neil has also participated in large-scale governmental projects including the new Federal Building and Courthouse in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and is Project Architect for a new Federal Courthouse in Greenville, South Carolina.

Mr. Sondgeroth began his studies in architecture as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and went on to receive a Master of Architecture degree from the Yale University School of Architecture. Neil is a registered architect in the State of Illinois.
