This group of projects addressed deficiencies that exist in many of Science Hill's original auditoria and classroom spaces, many of which remained relatively unchanged since their construction in the 1920s. Improvements included upgrades to bring these facilities into conformance with University classroom standards, new lighting, furnishings, finishes and acoustical treatments. These projects were designed within significant constraints for both schedule and budget, being executed entirely during the summer academic recess. Modifications respect the rooms' original design intent and where possible, extend, replicate, preserve or refresh existing details and materials.
